The Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Sarah Wynne (age 61). At approximately 6:05am, a police officer on routine patrol located a body lying near a vacant garage in the 9500 block of Bellefontaine Road. The body was determined to be Sarah Wynne. She had suffered a head injury and was pronounced dead on scene.

As a result of this investigation, Earl Ray Cooper (age 29) was charged with Murder 1st Degree. His bond was set at $25,000.
