The assistance of the Major Case Squad was requested in investigating the murder of Ramone Thomas (age 26). At around 4:20am, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call of an unconscious male lying in the bushes in front of a residence in the 700 block of Chancellor Lane, Fenton, MO. It was reported there may have been a burglary in progress and the male had fallen through the front window of the residence and into the bushes. Deputies arrived on scene and located the male, identified as Ramone Thomas, suffering from a gunshot wound. Ramone was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injury.
Investigators in this case learned Ramone Thomas, Courtney Brown (age 36), Raymond Seay (age 39), and Paris-John Devine (age 24) went to the residence on Chancellor Lane for the purpose of burglarizing it. The resident returned home and interrupted the burglary in progress. Courtney Brown shot at the resident. However, the bullet missed the resident and struck Ramone Thomas instead.
The following charges were issued in this case:
Courtney Brown charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Burglary 2nd Degree. Bond $100,000.
Raymond Seay charged with Murder 2nd Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree. Bond $50,000.
Paris-John Devine charged with Murder 2nd Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree. Bond $50,000.
