The Hazelwood Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Calvin Sharp. Shortly after midnight police officers responded to the area of the 8500 block of Steve Avenue. There they located the body of Calvin Sharp (age 24) in the driveway. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of the investigation, Carlos Johnson (age 32) was charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Armed Criminal Action.
