The Columbia, IL Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Erin Schneider. At approximately 12:34pm, police officers responded to a home in the 200 block of South Riebeling Street to attempt to locate Erin Schneider (age 17) when her family members were unable to locate her. Her body was located in Jordan Kuykendall’s residence where she had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and upper torso. Erin had obtained an Emergency Order of Protection (OP) against Jordan and had a scheduled court appearance regarding the OP on the day she was murdered.
As a result of this investigation, Erin’s ex-boyfriend, Jordan Kuykendall (age 20), was charged with 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
