The Crystal City Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Cynthia Williams (age 32). At approximately 7:06am, police officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Pine Street for a report of a woman lying on a bed in a pool of blood. There they located Cynthia Williams inside the residence. She had died from massive head trauma and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Brian Kinder (age 31) was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Rape.
