The Eureka Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Donald Hedrick (age 25). At approximately 12:25pm, police officers responded to an area near the Meramec River for a report of a sudden death. There they located Donald Hedrick who had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
