The North County Police Cooperative requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of John Stevens (age 43). At 1:27pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 7800 block of Utica Drive in Hanley Hills, MO for a report of deceased person. John Stevens was located inside the residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Terry Winebarger II (age 50) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
