The North County Police Cooperative requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Markco Willingham (age 24) and Jacob Pierce (age 19). At approximately 7:15pm, police officers responded to the 4500 block of Hamilton Avenue in Pine Lawn for a report of shots fired. There they located Markco Willingham and Jacob Pierce who had both been shot and were pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Trevontae Sain (age 20) was charged with 2 counts of Murder 1st Degree and 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $500,000.
