Suspect: Wardell Davison Jr., Melech Yachin Porter, Travon Johnson, Dennis Lamont Baker, and Lamont D. Ware
The St. Charles City Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Charles Dishman. At around 12:28am, police officers responded to the 200 block of Ameristar Boulevard for several 911 calls of shots fired. There they found Charles Dishman (age 38) who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his gunshot wounds.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued:
Wardell Davison Jr. (age 21), Melech Porter (age 17), and Travon Johnson (age 21) were each charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and Armed Criminal Action. They each had bond set at $250,000 cash only.
Dennis Lamont Baker (age 23) and Lamont Ware (age 21) were each charged with Robbery 1st Degree. They each had bond set at $200,000 cash only.
